English: First podium of the season for Florent Wolter!
Take a look on a map, find South Africa and then go right, past Madagascar and into the lonely depths of the Southern Indian Ocean. Here be paradise, one of the most visited overseas French territories, the sub-tropical isle known as la Réunion.
With a big MTB scene, most notably the ever popular Megavalanche that's held every season, Vario felt that 2006 was time to hook up with one of the most promising riders out there.
Florent joined our team in mid-December (see post below) and entered the first round of the islands DH cup this past weekend.
Not having had the chance to ride the bike in slippy conditions before this weekends race, meant he was at a disadvantage when the heavens opened. However his non-too-shabby 2nd place bodes well for the rest of the season!
